The Insurance Law egypt : determines the cases of redistribution of the pension among those entitled to it

The Social Insurance and Pensions Law promulgated by Law No. 148 of 2019 specifies cases in which it is necessary to redistribute the pension among those entitled to the pension, including widows, brothers, children, parents, and others. In this regard, Article 107 of the Social Insurance and Pensions Law, under the section “Those entitled to a pension,” stipulates that the pension shall be redistributed among those entitled from the beginning of the following month if one of the following facts is achieved:

1 – Divorce or widowhood of a daughter or sister. 2- The inability of the son or brother to earn a living. It is worth noting that the Social Insurance and Pensions Law, in Chapter Eight, addresses “those entitled to a pension,” and specifies the controls and conditions for their entitlement to and disbursement of the pension and the cases that cause or result in stopping the payment of the pension.

Article 98 stipulates that if the insured person or pensioner dies, those entitled to him shall have the right to receive a pension in accordance with the shares prescribed in Schedule No. (7) attached to this law from the beginning of the month in which the death occurred. The eligible persons mean the widow, widow, sons, daughters, parents, brothers and sisters who are available. On the date of the death of the insured or pensioner, they include the eligibility conditions stipulated in this section.
